BALAYAGE DIP-DYE TUTORIAL | BLEACH LONDON

8/01/2014

I am finally ready for the summer! Why? Because I re-ombred my hair using the balayage highlighting technique made easier by the Bleach London Beach Lights kit. I loved my last ombre look but I wanted a more gradual and highlighted look for the summer so it almost looks like the sun has slightly highlighted my mid-lengths! I thought it was easier to do a video tutorial on this so below is my YouTube video! I am new to YouTube, this is my first video but I love watching hauls and how-to's.

Like my hair? The video is below! Be sure to  SUBSCRIBE HERE ← because I have some new video ideas up my sleeve ready for you all to see, so don't miss them! These ideas include clothing hauls ready for autumn, and an empty products video.

What I thought of the Beach Lights Kit?
I love it!
I am a massive fan of Bleach London, the first time I used the Ombre kit. The only difference between that and this kit is that this one comes with a green balayage board (which I didn't use because it looked like a giant rake!) and it doesn't include the blending lotion to avoid the infamous dip-dye line.
-The balayage board was unnecessary and would've put too much colour where I didn't want it. The painting technique used on my hair in the video was a lot more reliable creating highlights.
-The formula is lovely and as you can see there are no brassy tones (partly because I have used the Bleach London White Toner) but partly because it is a great mix of bleach.
-The kit is easy to use but as with any bleach it can get unexpectedly messy so I would recommend covering all surfaces and be near a sink at all times!

Would I use it again?
Yes please!! Bleach London is the only brand I have used to dye my hair because I trust my hair will come out the desired colour. I have recently bought some of their semi-permanent colours for summer too, these will be featured in one of my upcoming hauls!

Did you like the video? Have you been considering dyeing your hair for the summertime? Who else makes YouTube vids?

  15. I'm not sure if my question posted!
Great video! very informative, I have a question about the toner bit.. You said wash in, does that mean you added it after washing the bleach out? or on top of the bleach? then leave for 15 mins?
    Hope my question makes sense!
    Thanks in advance,
    Kelly :)

    1. Thank you it did post on the video. Don't worry it makes perfect sense.
You leave the bleach in for 15 minutes. Then you need to wash the bleach out before you put the toner in. You then add in the toner whilst your hair is still wet and leave that in for 15 mins. Let me know if you have any more questions! :) x
