Honest Review of Makeup Revolution Palettes

6/05/2015

This is the first in my 'honest review' series of posts. I have always been fully honest when reviewing products but I will be going into a lot more detail in this series about the pros and cons and covering all the bases needed to fully disclose my opinions about a product that I have tried. So, lets begin. The two palettes from Makeup Revolution that I am reviewing here are Redemption Palettes Iconic 1 (the open palette pictured) and 3 (the one behind it). They have been dubbed amazing dupes for the Urban Decay Naked palettes.

How long have I been using these for?

-I don't use these everyday but I have owned these for about 3 months.

What are the best features of these palettes?

-They are very pigmented, I really mean it, for only £4 each it is crazy how good the colour payoff is.
-The second is the price, they are only £4 each and they have a lot of product in each section so it will take a while for them to run out.
-The colours are really great and varied in each palette, really there is only need for one of these palettes, I was being a bit greedy.

What are not-so-good features of these palettes?

-Well, sometimes when I'm wearing contact lenses it makes them spin around a bit which is really weird it is probably my contact lenses but because they are pigmented I don't need to put much on.
But if you are a contact lens wearer take that with a pinch of salt because each lens is made of a different material.
-Because they are inexpensive they are made of cheaper ingredients, but this does not compromise colour payoff.

Overall rating? 7/10

The ingredients and contact lens problems mean that I will have to knock down a few points however, the colour payoff, price and colour choice mean that I would definitely repurchase so I would give these a 7/10. You won't get better palettes for the price!

Any questions? Anything I haven't covered about these palettes ask in the comments below! I will get back to you within a day or two!
