SUMMER PATTERNS, SUMMER PASSIONS.

7/01/2015

I've had this patterned jumpsuit from TKMaxx since winter,  I bought it for a night-out but didn't end up wearing it so it has been gathering wardrobe-dust for a while. But this super hot weather happened and I knew it was time to release the patterns. So, its out and staying out (until it needs a wash). Okay, I know on twitter I promised to stop tweeting about the heat, but I did not agree to not blog about it. I love this season its full of high-spirits, passion, and adventures. This jumpsuit will be accompanying me on my journey through summer.

My wardrobe has consisted of mostly dark colours for a long time, but theres enough pattern on this jumpsuit to resurrect my whole wardrobe. In summer patterns are an absolute must. The whole season is like a whirlwind of warmth, happiness and flair which add up to passion, and this jumpsuit has a mixture of textured pattern that it reflects this season perfectly. Its shape is also perfect because I feel I suit high necked much more than low-cut jumpsuits (as pretty as they are...) It clinches in the middle with elastic so is figure flattering which I have drawn together with an understated belt.

With such a passionate, patterned jumpsuit I felt accessories should be kept to the bare minimum in order to let the jumpsuit take centre stage, so I settled for this beautiful two-fingered ring. (I have no idea its actually called a two fingered ring! Comment below if theres a technical name for it.) It has cute little stones in it so is very natural-looking, and the orange stones pick out the fiery orange in the jumpsuit.  I've had this ring since my 18th which I purchased from my Accessorize, as it went well with a lovely Topshop dress that I wore for my birthday night-out...I won't tell you how long ago that was...but lets just say I've had it a while.

These sunglasses are from TK Maxx (surprise surprise) and they are exactly the same as my Renato Balestra's from last year (I posted about them here) but in a lighter colour. I felt that light sunglasses would go better with a light jumpsuit, I will save my dark sunglasses for a darker outfit. The nail polish pictured on both my toes and fingers is Kate Moss for Rimmel in shade Hip Hop. This nail polish also has Lycra in which I'm not sure about the logistics of, but it the finish is almost gel-like.

I wanted plain black shoes to contrast but not take away from the patterns of the jumpsuit, so these are perfect because they have their own texture which grounds this outfit perfectly. They are from TK Maxx, they're not by a brand I've heard of but they were really inexpensive (£15 I think) so I had to purchase them. They're flat and velcro so super comfy to wear, but this jumpsuit can also be dressed up with a pair of heels.

I had better finish this post because I am going shopping now so I need to get up from basking in this lovely weather to get ready...and yes, I will be wearing this jumpsuit.

What are your summer passions? Have you got essentials that are perfect for summer adventures?
